Leonard A. Schlossberg, M.D.

Dr. Schlossberg is a graduate of Columbia College, and attended medical School at New York University, graduating in 1982. He then moved to Minnesota for his Residency and Fellowship training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis which he completed in 1987. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

After completing his residency and fellowship training, Dr. Schlossberg remained in the Twin Cities as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Minnesota Medical School. While there, he served as Lead Physician of the Internal Medicine teaching clinic at St. Paul Ramsey (now known as Regions) Medical Center, and was Chairman of the hospital Ethics Committee. He also served on the Quality Assurance Committee for the Minnesota Medicare Peer Review Organization.

He was actively recruited by Cleveland Clinic to join their new facility in Naples, Florida. He and his family relocated to Naples and he was one of the first physicians to join that practice in 1998. There, as staff physician in Internal Medicine, he was chosen to lead the Executive Health Program, while maintaining a primary care practice of several thousand patients.

For the last ten years (2004-2013), Dr. Schlossberg has been named one of Southwest Florida’s “Top Doctors” by Castle-Connolly, a physician-led team of researchers who identify highly skilled exceptional doctors both regionally and nationally.

In the fall of 2006, Dr. Schlossberg decided to leave the large clinic setting, and formed the Concierge Medical Practices of Lenholt and Schlossberg with his respected colleague. This new endeavor has afforded Dr. Schlossberg the opportunity to provide individualized healthcare in a manner not possible in his previous practice.

Dr. Schlossberg is married and the father of two children, Adrienne, who is currently living in Memphis, Tennessee and working on her Masters in Urban Education, and Eliot who is attending Florida State University in the Finance and International Affairs Program. Dr. Schlossberg’s wife, Elon, is an RN who occasionally works in the office and is also employed at East Indies Home, working in their custom studio shop designing and fabricating home interior accessories.
